Collective Worship
Worship is an integral part of our school life. We try to ensure that our worship is invitational and presented in a way that is relevant to our children and their daily lives, allowing them to flourish. Our Worship activities develop spirituality, whilst allowing children and staff of other faiths or who do not hold a religious belief to participate in a way they feel comfortable.
Worship embeds our school values and ensures that our Christian Ethos is maintained. During our Worship we follow the Canterbury Diocesan Board of Education Collective Worship Plans
Monday - Worship Through Song

Wednesday - Church Led Worship
Thursday - Whole School Celebration Worship
Friday - Class Led Worship
Our main Church link is of course with our local Parish Church St Leonard’s in Hythe, but we also have links with other local churches including Cheriton Baptist Church and South Kent Community Church. They contribute to whole school worship regularly and share our facilities for various community groups and activities.

St Leonard’s Church plays a big part in the life of Hythe Bay Church of England Primary School and Children’s Centre.
We worship at
Parish Church regularly and church members lead our worship in school every week.
Classes visit the Church often and children particularly enjoy the Church Days which are held every term, led by the clergy and church members, allowing children to learn more about their local church and giving them opportunities to explore the teachings of the Bible.

Cheriton Baptist Church lead collective worship within the school termly, their worship is always exciting and thought provoking for our children.
They particularly enjoy worship when the Puppet Theatre is in school.
Hythe House - One church, two locations.
We believe God is calling us to plant out, our first location is Hythe.
We meet on the second and fourth Sundays of the month at 6pm at Hythe Bay Primary School
Barney Ridgwell - School Liaison
South Kent Community Church lead collective worship within the school each term. Its 15-20 minute programmes are sensitive to multi-cultural issues. The SKCC Schools' Assembly team has been running for many years and has touched the lives of 100’s of children in the local primary schools.
Barney Ridgwell is currently responsible for liaising with the schools and booking assemblies, supported by a team who use puppets or drama in an entertaining and thought provoking way.
Team members are carefully selected within SKCC, and possession of a current CRB is an automatic requirement.
