We have reviewed the introduction of restricted vehicle access during peak times and are pleased to confirm some slight changes to timings. The main vehicle access gates to the school will be closed from 8.30am to 8.55am and 3.00pm to 3.25pm.
All other arrangements remain the same.
There will be no access onto the school and nursery site during the times stated above for any vehicles except Local Authority registered taxis and disabled drivers displaying a blue badge. This will include staff cars arriving or leaving the site. The caretaker will monitor the main gate to ensure no other vehicles come onto the site during these times.
Pedestrians are only able to access and leave the site through the pedestrian gates - the Cinque Ports Avenue pedestrian gate and the gate leading onto Hythe Green. There will be no pedestrian access through the gate by the Family Centre or onto the car park.
Whilst we encourage children and staff to use bicycles and scooters they must NOT be ridden on the school site.
We understand at times, when rushing in the morning or afternoon tempers can be a bit frayed – the school will NOT tolerate any abusive or rude behavior in any form towards our staff or other parents and our neighbours expect the same.
To allow access for taxis and blue badge holders, staff must not park in the slip road during peak times.
There is absolutely NO double parking in the staff car park.
We appreciate that these arrangements may continue to inconvenience some of you and but the safety of our children must be our first consideration. Remember there is free parking at the beginning and end of the school day in the car park on the Green - a healthy, environmentally friendly and safe option for all our children. Please be respectful of our neighbours when parking on the street.
